This book could have been soooo much shorter.  So much was drawn out and I ended up getting super annoyed with the MC.

3.5 - story was pretty good, but the ending felt rushed.

I haven't yet read a book by Avery Flynn or Tracy Woff that i didn't thoroughly enjoy. Back in the Burbs is no exception... I adored this book and finished it in a day. From the banter between Mallory and Nick to the slow burn romance, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good laugh out loud rom-com.

This story has potential. It’s a great concept. But some of the writing is just plain bad. (Seriously, “spank bank”? Ugh). The main character is usually ok, but a good part of the time she really is an idiot. And there are so many side plots, it takes away from what could be a good story. Engaging? Sure. Good? No.

I felt like there were a bunch of plot hooks that went unresolved, like Aunt Maggie’s house.
