This was a random and really pleasant surprise. It is exactly what it says: stories about long haul trucking with a sci-fi element. Most of the stories hold up, some are average. The themes vary. There's some humour. Some character depth. Some food for thought about self-driving cars and such. There is even some gender balance. I was into it.

Looking back some weeks later, I liked the one with the rebellion on the ice planet. The one with essential oils was really different. I even enjoyed the one with the chicken haulers. Most had either good writing or plot or concepts or sth.

But I've got to be honest here. The first and the last stories are utter ... well they're not good, I didn't like them. Maybe if they were stuffed in the middle somewhere. The cliche awesome-tough-guy who glides through epic problems while delivering one-liners is just cringey and vapid.
