Wow, this one was absolutely amazing.
I dropped (not DNF'd; I'll pick it back up eventually) Cows for this one. And boy oh boy, am I glad that I did.

I grew to love

the last character, Max.

The ending was somewhat confusing, though?

Did Max end up actually infected? If so, how? Did the worms stay dormant and hidden inside of him somehow?

Anyway, it was a fabulous read! Sort of a slow start once it focuses on the boys, but it was very worth it.

I came into this book warned about the ‘turtle scene.’ I come away from this book warning you about the kitten scene. I hated every second of it and, one I realised what was happening, had to skip past a lot of it. The warning about animal cruelty a lot of people are posting is 100% real, PLEASE keep it in mind.
