Nina is faced with a tough decision. I mean they are just little kids. How can the government not see that? What will her decision be? Keep reading the Shadow Children series to find out.

This book was dark and depressing. Almost figured I may have to abandon this series, since I thought some of the hopelessness was too much for my 10-year old to take. But then it became mysterious and thrilling. Everything you thought you knew got turned on its head.

I was very confused with the timeline of this book. At the end of book two it had a chapter from book three, which I read. Unfortunately, that chapter is actually the last chapter of this book. So not only did I have trouble putting it together, I also already knew how everything was going to turn out before I even started the book!

I liked the fact that the writer changed the perspective of who was telling the book. Instead of being Lee like in the first two books, it is now someone new, someone who was first introduced in the last book. This series may be short, but it is good, and getting better. At times in this book I wanted to jump up and down and scream in excitement and there were times when I felt ready eyed. Nina is really coming along as a character and I hope she continues to come along and get out of her shell. I'm excited to see what happens in the next books!!

still liked it but I didn't love it as much as the first two books in the series. Probably because I didn't love how the pov changed from Luke/Lee to Nina. I also get why Aila, Mattias and Percy were so standoff-ish and kinda awkward but they kinda annoyed me at times idk

This book had a lot of surprising twists and shows that you really never know who you can trust. Don't want to give anything away just can't wait to read how one of the characters will be living with a sibling. I really like this series so far.

It’s not quite as interesting as the first two. Nina isn’t quite as likable as Luke and the end felt preachier than the others. But it’s still a good installment and adds some more layers to the overall plot
