My thoughts about Charmer
It was an ok read for me. I liked the style, liked the characters and the story was just fine. So I did give it 3 stars, because the book isn’t the problem.

I think I’m the problem. I’ve read a lot of dark romance and I just missed.. not the dark. Just twists and turns. Something unexpected. Everything just flowed in this story. It just followed the curve of the river. I just missed a twist or something in the story. Plus I didn’t really get a star-feel. Like he was on a tourbus and at night he needed to play his songs… but I don’t know… I just didn’t get the feel.

I really liked that Tate, Kat’s son, was a huge part of the story. Most of the time you read that chars have kids, but you just occassionaly see them, but not in this story. I also loved Kat’s mom as well as Nico’s grandma. They had awesome oneliners which I really appreciated.

It was an ok read overall for me and I think a lot of people will enjoy this story. It just isn’t one I will remember on the long term, I think. Which is totally fine. I still enjoyed it.

Meh. This was just ok for me. I didn’t feel any chemistry between these two. And Kat was annoying. I think the single mom trope just doesn’t work for me. I’ve got enough of my own kid chaos going on in real life. I don’t want to read about it!

I loved it

You have the rockstar and the single mom, and then toss those two along with the kid and single mom’s mom on a tour bus… magical!!! I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Nico, but I ended up loving him. And Katherine and Tate and Lou, they are all so lovable and fabulous.

I am not liking this Charmer. Because well, it is not charming. It is missing that funny aspect from Miss Loring. Nico is too brooding. Even with his POV, I can not really connect with him.

While Kat is confusing character, their chemistry is also cold and stiff. Not so much drama. Story line is flat.

Booooooo, I am officially all caught up on this series and the one that connects to this. I’m a sad panda. I loved this one, I love Lou and how she told her daughter how it is.

* * I HAD BEEN GIVEN AN ADVANCE READERS COPY IN EXCHANGE FOR MY HONEST REVIEW * *

This is my first book of Kayley Loring and I was not disspointed in the least. I have a special place in my reading heart for single parent books and this was a great and sweet story to be read.

There were some parts that I didn't care for, but you can't please everyone. There were some parts that I would have liked elaborated more on, like the epilogue as well as the final chapter, it seemed wrapped up to fast.

But the beginning and the gradual growth of Kat and Nico's relationship was so sweet and you could feel the chemistry between them. There was dimension to their stories and their growth and you could see it from both sides.

I do recommend this if you like single parent, rock star romance and more of a slower burn romance story telling.

Thanks
