“I believe that repressing ideas spreads ideas.” Inspiring collection of musings from Neil Gaiman embodied by Chris Riddell’s lovely illustrations.

It’s a shame that Neil Gaiman is a zionist (found out after I bought this book, sigh.) I feel like many of his quotes here contradict his own gen-o-cide denialism; I hope he is more educated on what is going on in Palestine but I am deeply disappointed in his harmful stance.

Taking what resonated and simultaneously condemning his centrist (ultimately “neutral” to gen-o-cide) politic around Israel’s crimes against Palestine.

So, I may be a tad biased, but my favorite chapter was "Why Our Future Depends on Libraries, Reading, and Daydreaming." I would love nothing more than to read this chapter out loud to every single student, teacher, and administrator in my school.

From the outside, this little book is deceiving. But the inside is magical! Full of inspiration and sage advice, each page is wonderfully illustrated and the text looks handwritten.

Love, love, love!

Enlightening. Encouraging. Inspiring. A must-read for every artist, "real" or "fake", young or old. Read it to your children, your grandparents, and your imaginary friends. You will be forever changed!
