What a fun idea for a picture book! The librarian in me first thought, "Oh no! Some kid has been coloring all over this book!" :) I especially loved the picture on the back of Chris Van Allsburg and who I presume is his daughter, Sophia. She is wearing the same hat as the child in the story, and the book dedication reads: "To Sophia, my little buckaroo." Too fun!
