I love Kelley Armstrong’s women of the otherworld series. Kelley has always said her passion lies with thrillers but as that’s not my style usually I wasn’t sure about this book. I was wrong! There’s bad and good thrillers and this is a good one, enough brooding and mystery to make it believable but pull you in. You’re left satisfied but wanting more.
You can read as a stand-alone or follow the series to get your questions answered.

Graphic: Toxic friendship and Xenophobia
Moderate: Kidnapping and Death
Minor: Sexism, Sexual content, and Sexual violence
I think Kelley handles all difficult topics with grace and never goes into graphic detail unless it’s necessary. The only thing to be aware of is how good she is at evoking emotions.jeriannekeen's review against another edition

This was my first thriller read in a long while. I was sucked into the world of Rocton and the characters. Twists, turns, betrayal, so much is packed into this novel!
Moderate: Physical abuse, Kidnapping, and Murder
