I love Kelley Armstrong’s women of the otherworld series. Kelley has always said her passion lies with thrillers but as that’s not my style usually I wasn’t sure about this book. I was wrong! There’s bad and good thrillers and this is a good one, enough brooding and mystery to make it believable but pull you in. You’re left satisfied but wanting more.

I think Kelley handles all difficult topics with grace and never goes into graphic detail unless it’s necessary. The only thing to be aware of is how good she is at evoking emotions.

Although her consensual sex scenes can get spicy but they’re not overdone

This was my first thriller read in a long while. I was sucked into the world of Rocton and the characters. Twists, turns, betrayal, so much is packed into this novel!
