Picked this up thinking it was another Hercule Poirot novel but not the case. My first non-Poirot-Christie story and it still was really good. Agatha’s a legend for a reason and this just adds to it. The explanation at the end was kinda hard to follow, but I just liked the plot a lot.

Another lovely little twisty murder mystery. I thought I knew who'd "dunnit" a few times but, as usual, I was wrong! This was my first Colonel Race novel (and apparently the last) and I thoroughly enjoyed it - I shall be scouring the charity shops for more!
I've seen TV adaptations of this story a few times but of course the book is definitely better! Great read.
This book swayed perilously back-and-forth between 3 and 4 stars. In the end, though, I just couldn’t buy into the mechanism that led to the second murder. I’m sure it seemed clever when she wrote it, but eh.
This was a really fun one! Unlike some of her books, I was hooked from the beginning. It had really fun characters and a great plot. I didn't see the ending coming and though some parts of the end were a bit of a stretch, it was a fairly satisfying conclusion.

I just love Agatha Christie’s writing! She kept me guessing all throughout and I had so many suspects. The way the murder was done was very clever and I didn’t think of it. She is truly the queen of mysteries and it is always such a joy to read her.
