I think this is one of my favorite Agatha Cristie books, that I have read so far.

Realmente es un 3.5, pero me siento generosa.
El libro tiene una buena premisa (que es un calco de todas las premisas de Christie). Una mesa, siete personas, Rosemary bebe de su copa y cae desplomada. ¿Quién ha sido? Pues ha sido la víctima aparentemente, porque su muerte la tachan de suicidio al encontrar cianuro en su copa y en su bolso.
O eso se piensan...
Y es que su marido, George, recibe anónimos seis meses después de la muerte afirmando que a su mujer la mataron. Decide rehacer la cena con los mismos invitados para descubrir la verdad hasta que... You guessed it. Bebe de su copa y muere envenenado con cianuro. Poético.
Me encantan estas premisas, pero se me ha hecho un poco bola que la muerte de George, que ya te cuenta la sinopsis, sea a la mitad del libro. El final también me ha dejado una sensación agridulce, porque durante toda la novela Christie te va dejando pistas falsas sobre un supuesto culpable y luego resulta ser otro. Sí, sé lo que pensáis: debería haberlo visto venir.
Ya no sé si es porque mi teoría me gustaba más o porque el plot twist ocurrió literalmente en el último capítulo. Siento que no han habido pistas suficientes para que todo concuerde al final con el verdadero culpable y que Christe quería que lo apostaras todo por una persona incorrecta para luego sacar pistas del bolsillo y dejarte como un tonto. Well, guess what? Lo has conseguido.
Aún así me ha parecido súper entretenido y rápido de leer. Literalmente solo tardé dos días.

This one felt back to form after “One, Two, Buckle My Shoe” fell so flat for me! Listened to this one on audiobook, as well, same narrator (Hugh Fraser) and loved it. It was a little implausible, but that doesn’t detract too much for me. I suspected the murderer early on, but dismissed them, and then guessed it a bit before the reveal and felt very thrilled to have guessed correctly (though nothing will top how very right and how very quickly I was right with “The Mirror Cracked from Side to Side”).
Very enjoyable, really felt I got to know the characters, good witticisms, great reveals throughout. Just felt fun!

This is an excellent book. I like the Christie novels that aren't some of her more beloved characters (i.e. not Poirot who I find arrogant and annoying or Miss Marple who laughs at the rest of the world and then pretends to be all innocent). I love Tommy and Tuppence, but there's not a lot of novels about them.
In this book, the perspective switches between characters and you care about each one of them. EVERYONE is suspected of the murder(s), and at the same time, you understand and sympathize with each of their motives. The Queen of Mystery made it so that I almost didn't want anyone to be at fault, which I loved.

Na Agatu i njen stil sam već odavno navikao i tu ništa novo nije bilo. Ono što sam očekivao to sam i dobio. Još jednu zanimljivu misteriju sa nekoliko obrta. Zanimljivo je kako Agata uvek navodi na pogrešan trag i ne slutiš šta te na kraju čeka.
