Not me wanting to beat Megumi’s ass this whole volume!

I didn't particularly care about the second part of this arc, which was the date in the carnival. But the first one, which was basically about girl friendship, was probably the best story arc so far, because you pretty much get the best of Mei, Asami and Aiko. In this part, it's very clear how the three of them have changed since the beginning of the story and seeing this friendship evolve to the level that the characters stand up for each other when before they got to know each other they would NEVER step into the other's line is quite amazing.
I still don't really like Megumi (though I think she'll eventually realize what she really wants and join the group) and while I do like Kai as a character, I'm not a fan of his line in the plot. Still, I'm really enjoying the series. Now to the next one!

There’s not much to say about this volume, it’s not filler but setup for later volumes. Seeing the series is 18 volumes it makes sense. But I was not as engaged reading this volume. I did enjoy seeing Megumi’s facade slowly start to fall apart though.
