Who doesn’t love a dark romance featuring a stalker, touch her and I kill you’s vibe 🤭🤭🤭 this part of the dark romance has become progressively my oittle treat when I feel like I need a book sigh some edge 🤔🤔

Once again, I don’t condone behaviours like the once I’ve read in this book: Roman is hyper possessive man but also dangerous. All the people who hurt Bells ended up either dead of hurt 😂😂😂 like the man take his role seriously at heart.
And when you see Bella, the girl was already gone for him since their childhood and the more they grew up, the more toxic their relationship has become.

That book shows how messy life can be and how toxic people can be in your life. Bella knows that by being with Roman, her life can be put in danger most of the time; yet she still is with him 🥲🥲🥲 and Roman can’t love without Bella: like his love for her too much 🥺🥺🥺 so honestly I felt for them 😭😭

The start of this book was promising but I feel like around the 70% mark it fell kinda flat for me. I was expecting more dark elements to it based on the trigger warning but it felt very surface level with the dark elements.

Roman was a walking golden retriever wearing a rottweiler costume. He was slightly unhinged and I was waiting for him to be full blown wacky and it just never hit for me.

I felt there was a bit too much focus on Bella's internal "should I forgive him? Should I not?" And it felt like a lot of it just made the plot drag.

I really liked the beginning of the book and up until they ran from the cabin. The backstory was neat and learning how they grew up together was interesting. However, I really couldn't stand all the weird Disney adult stuff. I understand Mickey was important to the female protagonist as a child, but it just seems weird that she calls him Mickey while they have sex. The book would have been way hotter without that to throw off the mood.

After they left the cabin, the book kind of lost direction in my opinion. I think 150 pages could have easily been shaved off of this book because there were a lot of pointless and repetitive inner monologues. I understand this is a romance novel cliche and is kind of to be expected, but I think this book did it more than normal.

The first 200 pages really had me absorbed though. I read them in one sitting, and I was really into the book (despite the weird Mickey mouse stuff) until it got repetitive and seemed to drag on. I actually liked both of the characters even though Roman was absolutely unhinged, so I was genuinely excited to see where it went, but ended up feeling like the book was just okay at the end.

Additionally, I could have done without the fan art and playlist at the beginning. It gave off very fanfiction.net vibes, and if I wanted fanfiction I would just read that. I almost didn't even start the book because of that alone, I'm glad I didn't completely quit then, but this book could have been better.
