Almost DNF'd it several times, but managed to complete it. First 2/3rds of it are very slow with minor suspense, horror, plot or character development. The last 1/3rd was fast and..... very strange and didn't make much sense. That third was the most plot heavy and suspense/horror/gore of the book.

Didn't care for any of the characters. They were very much 2d characters that didn't have any other development besides gaining a little crazy and wishing they could prove/show the world what they've gone through but all of the factors went against them.

This was a lot of fun! An adventure book that I've seen compared to X-files and Indiana Jones, and I'd say that's pretty accurate.

The first half was a bit slow, mostly building character backstories. However the second half was pretty exciting. I love the dynamic between Ken, Nolan, and Molly - by the end they are quite lovable. I'll eventually pick up the second installment.
