Guilty pleasure. Not my favorite, but it had its moments. Banter between the two main characters was fun, but some of it was rather awkward (sometimes intentional I guess). Slow burn was well-done, and the character development was surprisingly emotional as well. Maybe it's cause I'm not an F1 fan, but I felt a bit disconnected from all the racing portions, which do make up a significant portion of the book. Also don't know if it was just my copy but all the quotation marks were single instead of double, and it slightly irked my brain until I got used to it.

Is it bad that I wanted just a little more smut? Like there was so much slow burn but it didn't really deliver too much after the burning started...this is completely personal preference though so it is what it is.

Overall, fun read. Not sure I will seek out more books from this author. Did seem like she was hinting at a sequel with a side character, but that remains to be seen.

i’m so annoyed i spent money on this lmfao

begging women to do more research before writing achillean romance/smut because this was just. embarrassing and insulting. like jfc the words ‘boner’ and ‘twink’ were used on like every other page.

main characters were both immature and insufferable and im tired of thinking about this book so thats all ive got
