This is a solid read. I appreciate how it does grapple with what do you do when you meet evil and they're not all purely bad.
That being said the main charecter is a little underdeveloped as are a lot of his relationships. But his position does make for good world building and overall it's a great start to a series

It's a fun read thats hard to put down, but it's very much a young adult novel. I wish I could have read it as a teenager; I would have loved it. It's a little bit too childish though. My only other complaint is that the main character is a bit too unlikable. I love that he has obvious flaws but it would beore enjoyable if he was relatable at all. 

Overall still a fun start to a dystopian series.
