dark funny mysterious medium-paced

Maybe the real demon was the patriarchy all along. Just kidding, the scariest thing that happens here is when the appetizers are ruined. Fun ride though if you’re up for it.

I didn’t like the viewpoint only coming from one of the moms. I feel like we didn’t have enough information about Liz to even care that she had been possessed. The husbands all sucked. Overall I would say I must have enjoyed it enough to finish it, but I didn’t enjoy it enough to recommend it to a friend.

Book Club book- campy horror. Who knew there was such a genre?

this book is pretty simple, predictable, and not much of a thinker, but i enjoyed it.

I found parts of this book to be enjoyable but other parts not so much. And unfortunately the unenjoyable parts happen more often than not. A lot of this book was boring but it did have its creepy moments. I was disappointed overall. The characters seemed to spend more time planning community events than they did actually trying to help their friend. It was pretty anticlimactic too. But it did entertain me for the most part.

Overall I did enjoy this book! Suburban moms fighting against evil paranormal forces to save their neighborhood, while also trying to plan a school carnival and do the other mom things that summer requires.

I wouldn’t say this is a “thriller” because I couldn’t take any of the demonic threats seriously. But I was entertained! Of course the husbands were completely oblivious the whole summer, but the overall theme of friendship between the adult women was a good arch. Plus the main character’s name is Amy

This book is about four suburban friends that wanted to build a getaway She-shed for their monthly girls night. However, things take a turn when one of their friends is possessed after they break ground for the She-shed build. This was a fun, fast-paced book, the story was good and I loved the characters.

3.5 stars rounded up! Fun & campy

Some fun, silly, mediocre suburban horror. I don't recommend it. But I don't not recommend it.
