Suburban white mom demon exorcism, definitely liked the message about moms and loneliness. And friends being the village for each other

This was a slightly better version of another book I read earlier this year. I liked the main characters except Melissa. She stayed pissing me off. Like, we get it girl, you have trauma but do you wanna save your friend or not?? There are some genuinely funny moments especially if you’re a mom. My favorite was the son making a card for his mom after a thing happened (no spoilers haha) and writing “sorry your leg is gross.” I giggled out loud because god, that is absolutely something a child would write. The ending was so abrupt, I would have liked a few more pages for it. Overall, pretty solid. It’s not unique but it is fun to read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Putnam for an eARC in exchange for a honest review.

This book was a lot of fun. Suburban life drama becomes hell, literally, when one neighbor is possessed. This book showcases what society expects from moms, the hoops you are expected to jump through and the power of friendship. Well written and full of relatable characters Suburban Hell is a hell of a time.
