Holy SHIT
I had heard good things about this book, and truly just needed a win with where I'm at in the books I'm reading right now. I'll be honest, it had a little bit of a slow start for me, but it didn't last long. The world, the characters, the lore, the magic system are all SO well thought out and rich. This world feels alive and breathing and constantly had me on the edge of my seat to see where it goes next. The ending was so dramatic and heart rending and I so desperately need to start the next one. 
If I was a young adult reading this book it would be my new Percy Jackson, and I'm so glad it exists for kids to be able to grow up reading now.
