This book was really enjoyable to read and it had me hooked, but I can't lie I did find the ending a bit disappointing. I just wanted more of a conclusion! I also found some of the dialogue a bit cringe but to be fair given the subject matter it was quite accurate and appropriate - I probably sounded like that back in the day as well.
okay but what happened with Jimmy and Angel??? did they stay in touch? did they become actual friends?? I need to know!!!

This ! book !
It's been awhile since a book has so completely caught my attention; every time I put it down I wanted to pick it right back up again!! I think one of the biggest reasons why is because it centered around fandom. Alice Oseman does such a good job of walking the line between saying how great being a fan of a thing can be and also how damaging it can be.
Also the characters!!!!!!! All of them were lovely and complex and I wish I could be friends with all of them.
Definitely going to work my way through the rest of Alice's work because I've loved everything by her so far!
ps. The views expressed in this review are my own and do not reflect the views of Indigo Books & Music Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. #IndigoEmployee

I have yet to be disappointed by Alice Oseman. Towards the end it was a little slow but I LOVED it overall

Really interesting commentary on fandoms and fan culture. I wish it was a little longer so that we got to see what became of everyone

I was worried about this book when I learned it was about the relationship between a large band and their fandom, but I think it was handled relatively well. I thought the characters were well thought out and developed. I do think the book felt a bit rushed at times, but it is a YA book so that’s partially expected
