A fun little book about honking. Honestly, most adult drivers should read this so they know when honking is appropriate. The slight rhyming made this easy to read.

Can T-Rex honk at a littering dinosaur? What about to say "hello" to a buggy of children? Rex and Stego are out for a drive and Rex wants to honk at everything, but as Stego keeps reminding his friend, honking is only for safety. The illustrative style is visually appealing and the rhyme scheme is on point, but since children don't drive, it's not clear who this book is intended for; perhaps the frustrated, minivan-driving parents of young readers? Fans of silly dinosaur stories will enjoy this, while the adults reading it will be left scratching their heads, especially toward the end when the dinos break the fourth wall and the text stops rhyming.

In this rhyming book, the importance of honking becomes the central theme. While it may be fun to honk when you want to say 'hi', or alert someone about their speed, or even bring attention to someone on the sidewalk, it is neither the place nor the time. As the characters learn, honking should be reserved for emergencies only, and even then, only to ensure all are safe. No honking for trivial matters, that's for sure! Neo liked this book and promises to keep an eye on when I use the horn in the car, trying to make sure it is only for emergencies and other important matter.
