I thought this book was a really nice little break in the ACOTAR series that felt like a Christmas episode of your favourite TV show. However, I can see why people hate this book and for me the direction of the plot for Feyre and Rhysand cheapened their love story (the greatest of all time!!!!). I liked the introduction to the different characters perspectives and seeing their group dynamic in a more relaxed setting than the previous books. I just love the characters in this series so any excuse to spend more time with them I'll take!

even though it was the shortest, i liked it the least? it was totally fine, but a bit boring. not nearly as much/enough sex :P it takes place after the war, maybe 6 months? a year? can't quite recall. nesta seems to be drinking her sorrows away, but almost everyone else is in a better place. and while i like that for them, it made for a boring book. the book was focused on winter solstice, which def had a christmas feeling. people took time off and bought presents, and it was enjoyable enough; if odd to read in june. certainly feyre and rhys deserved this nice closing to this chapter, but their eternal bliss together is not super fascinating. nor is her desire to get pregnant. mor going off to explore new lands def has the promise of something better/interesting. and i may still read the last book b/c i do find nesta intriguing.

Wow this book is good, a much needed breather after ACOMAR and ACOWAR. I’m actually scared of starting ACOSF now 😂
