Nihilistic monologue on how some things are more terrifying than death. Apparently. So little detail on the thing that was so terrifying is given that I mostly found this one puzzling and annoying.

Short and sweet, the implied details are haunting, and it doesn't overstay its welcome.

Sometimes I'm not really sure what Lovecraft is banging on about but whatever this Geezer is raving on about I wish he would do more of it. It is lyrical and the cadence of it is amazing, and it just flows along, with a beauty.
Still don't know what he's banging on about though!
