I loved the dynamic between Hyacinth and Gareth! They made such an exciting duo and their chemistry is undeniable.

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book. It also took some adjusting considering that if you’re reading these books back to back, in the beginning Hyacinth is still a child.
Still I could shake this off pretty quickly.
Gareth St. Clair is certainly one of the more interesting male protagonists. I love his growth.
Also his sudden determination… yes.
The search for the jewels makes this book different from the other ones in the series. Considering that all eight books have the same premise (find true love, get married). It was a nice change of pace.
All in all, solid romance. 4,5 stars.

Desde el momento uno en el que aparece Gareth he sentido un flechazo con él. Tengo que decir que pienso que Colin y Michael siguen en el top 1 empatados, pero luego iría él. Es un personaje bueno, con un corazón noble, que acepta lo que le viene y no busca el mal para nadie, aún cuando con él no se ha sido considerado. Tengo que decir siendo un mini spoiler, que me encanta como trata a Hyacinth cuando ella comienza a insistir, o cuando comienza a hablar sin parar. Me parece muy dulce.
Me encanta que sea el nieto de Mrs. Danbury, siento que la trama lo pedía totalmente. Sin embargo, y haciendo referencia a la serie, ¿cómo piensan representar a este personaje? Me encanta que hayan hecho el personaje de Mrs. Danbury negro (teniendo en cuenta que tristemente eso en la época no era real), pero a Gareth lo describen como a un chico con el pelo largo, rubio con ojos azules. Que realmente se lo podrían pasar por el forro, pero es que en este personaje que esto tenga sentido es MUY importante (no digo nada más).
El personaje de Hyacinth está super bien desarrollado teniendo en cuenta que ella si que aparece más en los libros de sus hermanos. La forma en la que su carácter evoluciona con ella y en como "concluye" me ha parecido muy acertado. Al ser una Bridgerton tiene un humor bastante ácido y tiene mucho ingenio. Además, es la hermana a la que más le gusta "meterse en líos" y me encantan dichas escenas, no me escondo.
Las escenas de ambos personajes son maravillosas, en seguida se nota la conexión entre ellos y me ha dado la sensación que es el libro donde las interacciones entre ambos me resultan más dulces y reales.
Aún así el final me ha resultado muy WTF, puesto que una de los grandes hilos conductores de esta trama se "resuelve" en el último momento pero de una manera muy abierta que no me ha convencido.
Dicho esto, el libro me ha encantado como me lleva encantado toda la saga. Solo me queda el último libro y confieso que me va a dar mucha pena despedirme de esta familia.

I totally forgot to update this when I finished it, which is already almost 2 weeks ago, and I kind of forgot my more detailed review haha. I do know that this was my favourite of all the books. (I've listened to 8 now aswell.) I think it was my favourite mostly because Hyacinth is just fun and takes charge, and I like Lady Danbury, and I also feel like Gareth was one of the better men in the series. Also one with daddy issues, but daddy issues that didn't impact him making good decisions for himself that much.

I really enjoyed this one but not as much as Benedict's and Francesca's.
This one is a good one for Lady Danbury fans as it features her heavily and her grandson is the hero.
The book follows Hyacinth's journey translating Gareth's paternal grandmother's Italian diary and all the secrets that come with that.

3.5 estrellitas. Muy bonito. No faltó la parte funable, pero ya me acostumbré a no esperar a que todo sea color de rosa todo el tiempo (?). No lo justifico, eh. Nomás ya no me sorprende y solo disfruto del resto del libro.
Me gustó la pareja, eran graciosos y la historia fue interesante.
