What a finale (see what I did there?) to the Caraval series!

I just had so much fun with this book and the entire series. I wasn't second-guessing reality as much this time, which was nice, but there was still plenty of drama going on. I loved seeing both Tella's and Scarlett's POV--it showed their differences but also how similar their goals were as well as their sisterly love for each other. The stakes were the highest they've ever been, and that made the tension even better.

It's hard to explain why I loved this series so much other than the ~vibes.~ Just go read it if you're a fan of fantasy romance, magic, and games.

Most of my life, I’ve romanticized death. I used to love the idea of something being so tremendous that it was worth dying for. But I was wrong. I think the most magnificent things are worth living for.

“A love worth fighting for. A dream worth dying for. An ending worth waiting for.”

The way I feel about the Caraval series is perfectly captured in these words. It truly touched my heart, and the plot was excellent. I will always have a special place in my heart for it. Stephanie Garber conjured out a colorful, surreal universe. I finished the book so quickly that I wish I could have read it slower to continue.

I loved how Finale is delivered from Tella and Scarlett's perspectives. While keeping their own distinct stories, both women were a part of the same broader plot and while romance plays a major part in both of their lives while involving new love triangles they also face a lot of difficulties along the way. These girls must fight for their hearts, each other, and the world. I love that we got more of everyone in this book Scarlett, Donatella, Julian, and Dante. Scarlett and Donatella were both such great heroines, the way they continued to sacrifice for each other and look out for one another just spoke volumes about their relationship as sisters.

I know Jacks is supposed to be a villain but there was something about Jacks saying "my love" that just did it for me, and now I can see why all of us girls want more of him. Jacks and Dante both had that bad-boy vibe, so it was terrible to feel like my heart was bouncing back and forth between them idc I loved Jacks and would be happy with him too. … sometimes all a girl wants is the villain or in this case villain(s). Dante and Julian came into their own in the end and I really appreciated that, because there were a lot of things left unsettled in Legendary between these four but everything tied together so beautifully and I loved it.

I felt like I was holding onto this book the entire time and couldn't let it down. It's devastating that it has finally come to an end, but I can't wait to move on to the OUABH series.

“I’m the villain, even in my own story. But you were supposed to play a different role.” Misery filled his eyes. “You were supposed to be my true love. You were supposed to want me, not him. You were supposed to be as obsessed with me as I am with you.”

GOODBYE I LOVE JACKS SO MUCH
