“You Wilder boys,” she said fondly. “Once you fall, you fall hard, and there’s no stopping it, is there?”

No truer words could be spoken.

This book was the perfect balance between intense emotion and addictive sexiness. Sorensen has consistently been a one-click author of mine since I read her Smartypants Romance books, and this was no different. A life-changing, steamy encounter in an elevator is just the beginning of their journey together, perfectly imperfect and broken in different ways.

Written with beautful sensitivity, leaving you wanting more, and shocked to look down and realise you're already 90% done.

Oof. Ivy and Cameron had me all up in my feelings. Ivy is fierce, but still strangely lacking in many respects and I couldn’t help but feel all the things for/with her. And Cameron. He’s seemingly perfect, sexy, kind, strong, and a perfect match for our Ivy. That elevator scene was absolute fire. As the story progresses, our couple gets closer and closer as we’re just waiting for the other show to drop. When it did, though, I was completely unprepared. I BAWLED. Karla created an amazing story that was both light and heavy, funny and heartbreaking. Its intensity will have my thinking about this book for a long time to come.

Oh my heart!! I absolutely loved this book!! I swear the Wilder stories keep getting better and better! This one was so heartwarming & wonderful, I could not put it down! Ivy and Cameron were both such great characters and I loved every minute of their story!

From their hilarious meet cute being trapped in a broken elevator to *trying* to maintain a professional relationship while working on a house renovation, these two were everything! The banter was so fun and don’t even get me started on their tension!! All the Wilder family moments always make my heart burst, but it was even sweeter in this book when they brought Ivy into the fold given her lack of a loving family unit.

While the last bit of the book made me super emotional and teary-eyed, I loved the emotional depth of these characters & was so happy to see them grow together & be there for each other.

I truly cannot wait for the next Wilder book, Karla never disappoints! Thank you to Wildfire Marketing Solutions & Karla for the ARC!

Thank you so much @karla_sorensen and @wildfiremarketingsolutions for the eARC of this one! The Wilder family has really overtaken my heart - and my reading month 😂

Ivy is very much a city girl, who finds herself in a small town after defying her dad’s wishes and getting assigned a renovation project. But when the contractor she hires turns out to be the stranger she had a steamy make out session with in an elevator…

Ivy comes across as a grump, but sweet Cameron Wilder sees past all that. He never stopped thinking about the girl from the elevator, and he was determined from the start to break down her walls, no matter how cold she may try to be.

Not only did I love the slow burn romance between these two, but loved all the glimpses of the Wilder family. Though I definitely shed some tears with them too.

Overall, I loved this story! And since the only other Wilder book I’d read was One and Only (which I also loved), I went back to the beginning and am now 5 books deep in Karla’s backlist, and I am having the best time! Definitely pick this one up! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - out TODAY and on KU!

I love this universe Karla has built with my whole heart. MY WHOLE HEART. And this one made me giggle and made me cry.

Ivy & Cameron have one of the best (and steamy) meet cutes and it could not have been more perfect for them. Plus the way the Wilder’s wrapper Ivy into their family was just perfect.

I cried for Ivy. I cried for Cameron. But it was so good. So very good.
