to me this was the best one so far. the mystery and the relationship was well done.

the audiobooks are pretty good, its not Greg Bourdeaux or Kirt Graves so its hard to match them, but Kale Williams is pretty good.

Overall i will be reading the last book for this series, they aren't long but a lot happens in each book.

What a ride! A psychic thrill with, love, humor and a few twists thrown in! A great read!

This was the first book of Morgan’s that I’ve read and I loved it! Really well written, easy to read, detailed and thrilling! I didn’t really feel at a loss not having read the first/other Bedlands novels but now that I’ve read this one I want to see how Simon and Vic got together and read all the other Bedlands Novels. I love the characters and the world Morgan has created!!

The first book’s story is alluded to (with an unfortunate spoiler) throughout this book, but without that, I may have been lost. This book focuses on Vic and Simon as a somewhat established couple, a cop and a psychic. There are murders, mayhem, visions, ghosts and witches, all interconnected to create a dynamic story with danger at every turn.

I enjoyed the ever-present love and unique connection between Simon and Vic and their banter was great and ‘fun times’ were hot! I liked the trust and family Morgan has portrayed with Simon and Vic and their made family/skeleton crew of Myrtle Beach. The secondary characters were great and I will be reading more about then in Morgan’s other works. All in all, a great world created, with dynamic and lovable characters! I look forward to seeing what else they uncover or tackle as a team in future stories. I look forward to more of Simon and Vic!! A great read!

Loved it

Absolutely loved this book and the characters. Such a good plot with romance, steam, fluff, ghost, action and mother nature making life difficult. Definitely going to get the next one.

I love the two main characters in this series, they are so great together. Each guy brings different elements to the relationship that works so well as a couple. I adore Vic and his little grumpy side. These two moving steadily along in their relationship is a highlight in the book.
Pulling together so many interesting historical facts really made this a good story. Vengeful spirits, ghost pirates and massive storms, what's not to love.
Narrator- Kale Williams did a fantastic job!

Entertaining series, characters building over the series.
Simon is crucial in this one, taking on two powerful entities at personal cost.
There are crossovers to the police and Vic too.
Am enjoying the series

3.5 stars rounding down
4 stars for narration
3 stars for the story.

I liked this better than the 1st one and I do love the paranormal mystery of it and how well it's executed so the reason it gets 3 stars is because of 2 things. First it's extremely irritating to me to have the names of the MCs repeated CONSTANTLY in a scene. "A said this and B answer and A followed with and B countered and then A admitted and B confirmed... ad infinitum" always throws me from the story. I know who the characters are I know which of them talks at certain points you don't have to use the names. Now if it was a scene with multiple characters and all of them participating be my guest in doing so. Secondly was the fact that I completely missed that there was a #1.5 story and it wasn't mentioned before the book started so there were things mentioned in the storyline that referred to what happened in that book and I was completely lost thus being thrown from the story again.

Kale Williams narration is great with quite the range in voices.
