STELLANNNNNNN

Okay. But real talk. There were too many overused tropes here, but I really appreciated the ending. Way to go, Avery. You're a freaking rock star.

I really liked this. It was a little bit better than the conspiracy of us and I thought the characters got way more interesting. And obviously Stellan is way better than Jack 😎

I inhaled this book (as I did the previous one in the series). It's fun and clearly a YA style Da Vinci code is right up my alley. Having said that there is a level of sloppiness in the plotting that's unfortunate - the characters solve the mysteries by guessing mostly and the connections that they make are simply suddenly correct. Lots of missed opportunities - the mother has been kidnapped for the bulk of the last two books- why bring her back just to kill her off? Couldn't she have advanced the story through knowledge or information first (or at least paying off the wait by actually having a conversation with her daughter)? But as I said, I enjoyed this despite the flaws.
