This is for Mountain Murder by Nichole Severn

It’s a great introduction to the Whispering Pines Ranch and return visit to Battle Mountain.

The Cabrera File

This big little story has it all. The best friends older brother Diz crushed on as a teen is back and better than ever. Rico the brother is somewhat battered from a military career cut short, but making the best of it and admiring Diz for he capable woman she is. When they are thrown together to save her roommate the action is fast paced and furious. The HEA is sweet and sexy without being in your face. Loved this thrilling afternoon read!

Delta Mission - Kendall Talbot
The first page has you in a hot, sweaty and dangerous place that has your heart rate up. I really enjoyed Mckenna and Channing and the push/pull between them so that mixed in with the situation they find themselves in not only to begin with but after is the perfect mix.

Home Is Where You Find Your Soulmate by Heather Scarlett

This was really sweet. I loved that this was short, cute, and had no angst. The addition of the cat and dog was also really nice. I finished this book in one sitting and was really looking forward to reading more of this. The brother's best friend trope is one of my favourites, so I can safely say that this was done well despite it being this short.

Thanks to Booksprout for a copy.

MOUNTAIN MURDER
By Nichole Severn
I read Ms. Severn’s contribution to this anthology. The story may have been short in length but it was not short on suspense. Sometimes with a novella I feel like something was missing, but not this time. This was a complete story worth reading.

This review is for Calling Dr. Hudson

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is only the second work of Roxanne's that I've read but it solidifies the fact that I want to continue reading more from her. While I would love for this to be a full length novel hopefully, readers show interest to convince Roxanne, this was a good dual pov medical romance.

When a situation happens at the hospital, Andi finds herself working as a babysitter for Kane, a doctor from work that she has a crush on. Kane doesn't recognize her & Andi has her reasons for keeping her identity a secret. As Andi helps draw Emma out of her shell & get to know Kane outside of work, it's difficult for them not to give in to their attraction.

Andi had a caring heart it was easy to like her & the way that she wanted the best for Emma. As for Kane, he may appear cold when first introduced but he starts to make changes under Andi's influence. Readers will like them together & wish their story was longer.

this was a cute romance with really good characters but the attraction between them wasn’t entirely believable. I would have liked to see more bonding and chemistry across the MCs.

That being said, it was super cute and a quick read. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

I received an ARC of Delta Mission by Kendall Talbot, so I will only be able to review that story so far.  I love Kendall Talbot's Mission series, and this prequel is an amazing start to it. Channing and Makenna are on Mission to stop the drug trade.  The book is full of action and is impossible to put down.  Makenna is a strong character and won't let anything stand in her way. I hope that I get the chance to read the rest of the short stories in this collection.

Review for Moonstruck Fire by Miranda P. Charles only:

Brooke and Sawyer, the lead characters, are shocked to bump into each other in the airport, both running late for the same flight to Australia, shockingly visiting the same small town. They haven’t interacted for nearly two years, since Sawyer broke up with Brooke for no explicit reason. Neither is over the other but Sawyer still won’t disclose why he severed the relationship and why he wants to keep the rekindled one secret. Brooke isn’t going to put up with that!

This short story is dual POV, and a cute introduction to an adorable small town. I honestly loved the secondary characters and am looking forward to more of them. I found Brooke and Sawyer’s interactions a little stilted but that was not inappropriate given their history. I enjoyed the way their relationship redeveloped and enjoyed the ending, with the setup for the next story in the series.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

In My Sights - D Williams

This book HAS IT ALL. A man with a calling, unexpected attraction, fate, instalove, long distance love, unexpected turns, danger, protective hero and a strong leading lady.

This novella fits into the Morningstar Mc Reno series but is a great book for new readers. It is introducing a new group of characters to the world so background knowledge isn’t essential.

If you love this book (you will), head to Gianna - another Novella which intersects this one. It’s fantastic.
