I love this author, but don't love Diogenese as the main character... he was better in a lesser role like in the tother novels

I’m just not nearly as enamored with Constance as Preston & Child are. Pendergast feels like a distant side character at this point in the series, and while the gimmick worked pretty well in the earliest entries, none of the characters here are as interesting as Bill, Nora or Margo were. It was a good run, but this is probably the last book in the series I’ll pick up.
