Hooked!!
I want to know more, right now.
Great inventive storyline with intrigue and interesting characters.
Love it.
Bring on the invasion!

good but not her best

I enjoyed the premise for this book - a battered woman falling for her husband’s assassin. The dubcon scene was spicy and the tension between them good. I probably didn’t like this book as much because it was so short.
3.5 stars

Spice: 4/5
Triggers: assassination, physical and emotional abuse, dubcon

My favorite part of this was when the author put in the author's note: "Don't worry, I'm fine and my husband is alive."

An intro to the series- Lizzy, an author, is married to a shitty, abusive man who also happens to be a scientist that is trying to prove the existence of aliens. They are fighting, it gets physical. Enter: big alien man who *pew pews* her husband for digging too deep. Lizzy is not sad about it.

Alien is hot.
Lizzie finds out a little bit about the invasion plan that his species is about to initiate.
They play house for a night.
He takes her with him.

30 pages, nothing spectacular. But it was a good little intro for what's about to go down in the series. Reading the first book now and it already has a way more developed plot.

I totally read this book in the wrong order but I just finished this quick novella and loved it!
An abusive husband gets his karma and his wife finds herself an alien admirer.

A quick, cute, read that introduces you to this book series that is quickly becoming one of my favorite alien series ever!

Assassin with a heart of gold

This novella is an introduction to the Garrison Earth series. It portrays the instant attraction of the alien and the confusion and fear of the human.

Not much to say! Quick easy novella leading into the garrison earth series! Curious to see how it pans out into the books! Let’s go!

3.75 stars. This is a really short novella that is meant to introduce us to the Garrison Earth series, so it feels quite incomplete… but I guess it made me interested in the next book so it’s done it’s job?

I really enjoyed V.K. Ludwig's Ash Warriors series. May skip over this series for another in her backlog.
