Yeah, my friend Celeste is pretty badass. If you cheat on her, she’ll frame you and have you ARRESTED for corporate espionage.

Okay this book was insane??? Silly little me, thinking her friend Lily actually made it her life’s mission to take down Zane after how he treated Celeste their whole childhood. I thought she gathered intel from the inside to have Zane arrested and then lied about boinking him to Celeste when she killed herself.

NOPE! She actually just had BPD and a made up disease that made her think she was in a relationship with Zane. Celeste really DID frame him for corporate espionage. HAHAH How was no one absurdly proud of her for that? What a badass.

Also, I’m all for angst but a good 30% of this book could’ve been cut. Per usual, I think someone should’ve helped Maura tighten up the plot. Oh well. Still fun!

I went into this pretty sure that Zane and Celeste would be my least favorite couple in the series, but surprise surprise, my heart broke so terribly reading this book for both of them and I was not prepared.  This was a great installment in the series.  It's also the longest book in the series and I was also worried it would drag, but it didn't really.  There was a lot to this relationship and honestly given that there was so much trust that needed to be rebuilt I'm glad the book was longer so that it didn't feel like it just happened overnight.  Or like some switch flipped and suddenly they both decided to suddenly be in love again.

Another great book,
unfortunately is has one of my most disliked tropes of not communicating from the start and causing years of heartache for MCs
