A significantly better book than the first book. If you’re questioning whether or not to read it, definitely read it! Politics and related scenes are brilliantly written. World building improves dramatically. The main character’s struggle with depression was also well-written.

While the story is good, I would not recommend this to anyone with sexual trauma or an abusive person in their life as this book will likely be very upsetting. This book was phenomenal. From the character arcs to plunging plot twists, this book was nothing less than a roller coaster of emotions. Firstly, I personally enjoyed Feyre’s character development and healing a lot more in this book than the second. Second of all, this is not a romance, primarily(at least in my opinion). This is a political fantasy (a very well-done one too), with wars betrayals, politics of relations between Courts and division between them, everything was full of action and drama. I will say I have predicted quite a lot of the plot, yet it was still very enjoyable and exciting! This was a great build-off from the previous book, and I can’t wait to see how the author evolves the story in the next one!
