When I started purchasing eBooks for our school library, I tried to think of books that a teacher might want to share that could be better when displayed on a SmartBoard. Using this book with students, you have to be able to show the illustrations. As a former science teacher, I love this marriage of poetry and science. As with many good books, you have to read more than once to fully appreciate it.

Nice. And interesting. With good art and idea. But not especially compelling text. But still good. And could be a family favorite if introduced at the right time. 3.5 of 5.

This is amazing illustrated book with an easy and open-minded knowledge about spiral.
Also thank the voice and the explanation of the youtuber.

Intriguing concept for a book. There is much more to this book than it appears at first glance. I think the true depth lies in investigating the illustrations to find all of the swirls that the text is referring to.

Fantastic book that can be the jumping off point for so many discussions. Shapes, animals, design, beauty, nature, botany, defense mechanisms, math, movement, physics, moment, chaos theory, weather, art, distance, Fibonacci sequences. The hardback version includes some additional information about spirals that is not in the board book edition.
