Jennifer Lynn-Barnes is a true mastermind with this third installment of The Inheritance Games. This book was written with incredible precision that the riddles upon riddles and games upon games will make you lose your mind. The very conclusion to the game that Avery and the boys are playing was perfectly laid out, and I appreciated Grayson finally opening up and acknowledging his imperfections and trauma. Gray will always be Gray, and Jameson and Avery will always love each other in the best way they know how. Avery’s character development in this book is unmatched and I liked her more than ever. For all the swifties, this book is Midnights coded! Anti Hero, Mastermind, and Karma are some tracks definitely up there. Moreover, the story is undoubtedly really good, with no loopholes to a perfect ending. This is now definitely one of my favorite YA series out there.

wowowoww what a finish. i think i thoroughly enjoyed this book as much as the others but it tended to drag on a bit in some places. the story itself was structured a lot differently than the other two and i think it was a Little jarring, but we got lots of great character development from so many of the characters!! the series overall i might give like a 4.5 ? a 5 stars ? i wonder if my ratings would get higher if i reread them. ik for a fact i did get so attached to these characters and i just want to soak up everything related to this series LMAO also
bc i want to brag, I FUCKING WONNNN I ALWAYS WINNNNNNN TEAM JAMESON LET'S GOOOOOO

I found this book to be a lot…hmmm…slower? compared to book 1&2. The family tree is SO COMPLICATED, it’s hard keeping track sometimes. I literally had to physically draw a family tree diagram to keep track of it myself lol.
I do like the fact that it makes you think.

The chess game didn’t really seem like a GRAND ending to the whole vincent situation to me personally. I love love love the fact that Jameson and Avery were end game! Been rooting for them since the beginning.
