🏒 Hockey romance
Consider Me was a quick, bingeable read that delivered exactly what I wanted from a hockey romance. Both Carter and Olivia felt well-developed and three-dimensional—Carter as the charming, all-American class clown type and Liv as the sweet, down-to-earth girl next door turned teacher. Their dynamic felt authentic and familiar, which made it easy to connect with them right away.
Carter, in particular, was a standout for me. He’s very much the golden-retriever hero—funny, affectionate, and determined to win over the one woman who doesn’t immediately fall for his charm. Watching him soften around Liv and show his marshmallow side made him impossible not to root for. Liv, meanwhile, was a total sweetheart and the perfect balance to Carter’s larger-than-life energy. I especially loved seeing their relationship unfold slowly, with Carter’s relentless (and often hilarious) efforts to prove himself worthy.
If I had one critique, it would be the third-act twist. The whole sequence with Carter pretending he cheated and then explaining it away by saying they had to lie low felt a little contrived.. That said, I appreciated how things wrapped up, especially Carter ultimately deciding to go to the police—it showed growth and responsibility that fit his arc.
Overall, Consider Me is a fun, heartwarming, and craveable sports romance that fans of reformed players, golden-retriever heroes, and slow-burn chemistry will eat up. It’s got humor, heart, and just enough drama to keep the pages flying.

This book made me cringe to be honest. Although I do like Carters character. I’m not sure why it was over 500 pages when nothing really happened… I am holding out hope for the next 3 books in the series lol.
