It was a fine little read, but not enough room to breathe.

This is my first Sarah Robinson, and the best way I can describe it is “like Sweet Valley for adults”. Or, maybe, a “cozy mystery minus the mystery”. Really, it is a sweet little novella that has very little conflict, and a whole load of queer-positivity. I thought the ending a bit too treacle sweet, but perhaps it’s the kind we need every once in a while. I would consider reading this again - I think it would make a great holiday read. This book is super-queer, and I love it!

I love the covers and the potential in the At the Mall short stories, but even for short stories there just isn't enough content.

I thought Mall You Need is Love was short but it had more depth and story ARC than Mall Out of Luck. Basically Nell (Amara's from Mall You Need is Love friend, who other than a text message isn't included) and Saoirse meet at the bar now under her ownership and that's pretty much the whole story. There's not much get-to-know you or grand opening on St. Patrick's day scene, and the tiny epilogue doesn't even provide more insight into their future.

Lots of potential but too short to provide a satisfying story.

I have become a fan of these short novellas and this is no different. We get a cute story were things happen fast but it still gives us that romance we want. I love it!!!

Mall Out of Luck tells of the meeting of eclectic scientist Nell and new bar owner Saoirse. These two just seem to fit. If Saoirse’s past doesn’t mess up their chance of a future. I enjoyed this fast-paced holiday romp.

Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is a cute Sapphic romance story set around St. Patricks Day. Nell (a woman and STEM) and Saoirse (The new owner of Nell's favourite bar) met under unexpected circumstances and things just seem to go from there. Although this was a fun, quirky story it's a very short read. There was too much happening and not enough pages for it to happen in. So the pacing was ridiculously fast. Also, can someone tell me who the characters on the cover are? Because they look nothing like the two MCs described in the book.

Like I said it was fun and cute but far too short for the amount of stuff that happens. 3 stars.

Fun and light hearted novella with just the right amount of angst to keep me reading. Soirse moves to a new town to start over and re open the local bar with an Irish theme. There she meets Nell who is a regular at the old bar and is interested to meet the woman that has a history of leaving her partners at the alter. There is an attraction that neither woman want to ignore but the focus is on the bar opening first and foremost that is until an ex turns up unexpectedly wanting answers.

This is a supershort f/f romance, which isn't my usual read. But it's Sarah Robinson and I love these At the Mall shorts, so of course I was going to jump at the chance to read it. And I'm glad I did. As its a cute little read, the characters Saoirse and Nell are great, and there's some nice banter too. Not to mention it's themed around St Patrick's Day which is always fun.

Would recommend.
