A terrible and beautiful tapestry continues to unfold in ever-increasing philosophical, sociopolitical, and religious depth.

I needed to stop reading every once in a while and just contemplate what I was reading. Like it was so slow at first and then BAM, everything happens at once and I’m reading about Leto turning into a sand trout. That was nuts.

Honestly, I have an issue with the blatant appropriation of Islamic/arab culture throughout the series. But despite that, I really liked this book but I understand why it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

This one hit me in the brain and the feels, the best kind of sci fi. Especially recommend if you like a heavy dose of philosophical, religious, and political musings with your sci fi plot.
