This sci-fi thriller drew me in from the very beginning and the pacing kept the pages turning throughout. I think it’s safe to say every single one of us has asked ourselves the age old question of “what if?” and this book took that question and ran with it. I found myself thinking about decisions, big and small, that I have made in my life and what might be different had I chosen another path. It actually made me appreciate my life and all the choices I’ve made to get here even more. It made me not want to take any of it for granted.

I've seen mixed reviews about this book. I enjoyed it. It was a page turner and it was emotional and it made you think about what you would do if you were in the same situation and made you question whether what you would do was right or wrong. My only criticisms were that the white guy background of the author definitely came through in how he described certain Chicago neighborhoods and characters and how he described the Latina wife. That was actually kinda cringey. But in general, good multiverse Sci fi story backed by a flawed character's deep feelings of love for his wife and son.
