This was cozy and a little steamy. I had a good time. I think a harsher editor would have tightened up some of the exposition but overall I liked it a lot.

SO CUTE!! I’m so glad I decided to read this one because it was so much better than the first two! The main issues I had with the first two books were totally changed in this one and it made it so much more enjoyable. I love Ben and I love Eleonore. They are great together and I found aspects of their personalities so relatable.

loved the change from the usual, “touch her and die,” because Eleonore is a badass who can absolutely defend herself.

"When pride is that fragile, it's just aggression papered over insecurity or cruelty. It becomes a liability."

"Power corrupts," he mused.

"Or the corrupt are those who seek power in the

first place."

The thought was sudden, but it settled into his mind as if it had always been there. Of course he loved her. She was funny and insightful and strange and beautiful and complex. Six hundred years of words couldn't define her. Six hundred languages couldn't.
