I just didn't care about these characters as much as the other characters in the first two books. I think it's weird Ben got a book before Themmie did, and a 600-year-old vampire/succubus who likes Star Trek as much as she hates it is too much for me.

I LOVED the first half of this book!! It was just a little too long at the end and kinda dragged on. I really liked the romance :)

While I did like a lot of aspects of this book, I thought the treatment of mental health was very heavy-handed. The author spelled out in therapy-speak exactly the realizations the characters were having and it took me out of the story every time. It's not that the characterizations of the different mental illnesses themselves were bad, but the author felt the need to explain EVERYTHING. It got to the point that when Eleonore had her big "breakthrough" at the end and the Witch in the Woods is made out to be her abusive partner and she realizes she doesn't need revenge for six centuries of misery because "the best revenge is living well" I rolled my eyes so hard . It didn't feel satisfying, it felt cringey.

This book is cute, cozy, and with a touch of sexy. I enjoyed it, and I loved the characters and how their individuality shines through each book. I also really liked the mental health struggles incorporated into some of the character, and think it is well done.
I think I would have enjoyed this book more if some of the character development wasn’t so straightforward and if Ben’s werewolf side was explained more. The overall plot was a bit boring and extremely predictable. However, it was an enjoyable read.
