I didn't like this one quite as much as the other two in the series, but I did still quite enjoy it.
Ben, as the anxiety ridden and kind werewolf was nice to read about. He's basically a walking green flag and all the ways that masculinity can be non-toxic. Eleanora as the centuries old vampire-succubus, out of touch with the present time, and down to slay her enemies and a bad case of PTSD, was a nice counterpoint to Ben. The two of them were great together, despite their not-so-great start to things. I felt like the PTSD and anxiety were both handled well and not overly-exploited or minimized.
It was also nice to see some fleeting moments with the other characters from the first two books, though I would love to see Oz be a little bit more present, 'cause I think he's still my favorite.
That said, the sub-plot with Gigi running for mayor against Cynthia was kind of weirdly paced. It seemed to be thrown in more to give Ben one more thing to be anxious about, where it could be a story that deserves it own time to breathe and really get into.
Granted, this is a rom-com series and not a big political heavy-hitter, but it felt kind of tacked on, and Cynthia didn't feel like she actually had a lot of teeth in this one, after being so built up in the prior two books. She was definitely nerfed.
Though I supposed when you have demons at your beck-and-call, an overbearing mother isn't the worst thing - even if she's a powerful witch in her own right.
Anyway - the story was sweet and cute. I dreaded the inevitable "misunderstanding" which causes drama which seems a prerequisite for all rom-coms, but I'm glad this one was handled fairly quickly and not overly drawn out.

I went from enjoying the series to liking the series to loving it! I can’t wait for another story about the amazing residents of Glimmer Falls. Just a fun read with characters you love and want to root for.
