I adore a murderous ancient confused vampire. Elenore was so fun and I liked her obstinance. Ben was so sweet I love a cinnamon roll of a man, and he commits a crime for her <3. That being said I don’t think the dick biting is for me. I also think the pacing could have been a bit better

This series is fun but does have some moments that cross into the era long-past of crack fics which crosses temporarily into cringe territory. The author also really loves a forced proximity trope because that is present in all 3 books but I liked it better in this one than the previous one. I liked both of the main characters individually too which can be a rare occurrence in books like this , though I don’t know how much chemistry they have together beyond the feeling of “they’re so hot”.

I also get that the resolution at the end shows how the characters developed but it did feel like the witch could’ve had a harsher punishment. Maybe Lilith could have annoyed her to death or something.
