I didn’t realize this book was part of a trilogy when I initially bought it. When I found out it was a standalone, I figured this would be a good test to see if it could stand on its own, and I was not disappointed! The comfy/cozy paranormal ambience I got from this book was just the vibe that I was looking for. And then I realized there was spice? Sign me up! I was glad the author didn’t shy away from the spice, considering the FMC is part succubus! Definitely will be reading the first 2 books in the trilogy! 

My only critique is the same criticism I have for practically every standalone I’ve read - which is the author puts too much time over explaining events from prior standalones.

I might have DNF'd this if I wasn't listening to it on audiobook. I love that romance books are dropping the gross tropes - like not gaining consent around certain issues. BUT do we have to get hit over the head with it every few pages? I liked that Eleanora was the older one of the two. I also liked that Ben was a softer partner in the relationship. This book was missing the thing to take it over the edge though.

I enjoyed every time I picked this book up. What a way to finish the series I’ve loved since I first started reading it.

I definitely think it’s worth a read and I will be reading her future books!
