i'm conflicted.
this is definitely a dark romance. and the first 'rock star' romance i've read, and it's annoying the fact that a lot of the plot was dragged out until the end. sure, they were insatiable and were obsessed with one another but... i feel like a lot of the plot could have been solved earlier, and more character development could have been used for the latter part of the novel.
i did not like aiden. at all. i liked riley, but she's dumb as fuck. the way the writer writes is good, that's what is frustrating, and she can do so much more with the way she writes!

I think Iโm done with this series for a while fr now. This was horrible. So cringey, pedophilic, and outlandish.
I thought this book was very very good! Evident in how fast I read it, however, what lost a star for me was the immediate and frankly rushed shift from Aiden being the stalker to being her lover. I wouldโve liked that build up to happen slower, rather than one night she realizes she misses him, they fuck in the cabin, and suddenly realize theyโll die without each other.
Other than that it was so good!
