Sizzle, crack, pop...... That's the electricity between Autumn & Julian. The chemistry between these two was insane and so off the charts. M Robinson has an amazing way with words! This second chance romance was everything I was expecting and more. The ups & downs of their past & preset kept me reeling during the entire book! So, so good! A must read! Can't wait for Book 2 in this series.

“If I stayed, I’d make her mine, and I couldn’t do that to them. Not after everything they had done for me.”

Billionaire bachelor Julian Locke came from absolutely nothing bouncing from one crappy foster home to another until he found his best friend Christian and his family to took him in like another son. Christian has a sister.
Autumn. And she was completely smitten by him from moment one.
Throughout the years, her love only grew more fierce and as she went from child to woman, he fell too. But was completely torn in two different directions.
It’s his best friends sister. The one girl that should be off limits.
She’s also part of the only family that ever gave a damn and loved him.
No secret relationships end well and over the course of a few years, and multiple heartbreaks - Julian ended it for good with Autumn for good.
Or so she thought.
10 years later they find themselves in each other’s path once again.

The banter is top notch. It was angsty and gutsy and you really can feel what both characters felt in the moment of anger, sorrow, fear, regret, and so forth.

Now. I know I’ll get haters for this but my least favorite character was the child…
I have four kids. My oldest the same age as the child in this book and he’d be mortified to calling his parents mommy and daddy at age 9/10 years old.
I know my son’s friends would never… at least not admitting to it or say it publicly. But the character felt more like a 6/7 year old to me. Even then… my seven year old would find it “cringe” to call us mamma and daddy.
So to read her character, it was … odd.
Sorry Capri.

The QUEEN OF ANGST is back!! Filled with snarky comebacks, a backstory that reads like Romeo and Juliet and an understood attraction that leaves both Autumn and Julian destined for heartache this was a fabulous read. With the push and pull, the give and take and the back and forth between past and present, M. Robinson proves once again that tragic love stories are the genre she knows how to write. The reader is taken on a wild ride that will tug on their heartstrings, make the scream at their kindle and then make them sigh with happiness. And that ending - holy crap - I need more NOW!! Stand up and take a bow M. Robinson for a job well done - this deserves more than 5 stars!!

Alpha CEO is M. Robinson's latest release. Now with what I am about to say I know many won't agree with....This is not the usual angst fest I have grown to love from this author. Yes there is some angst, but this author has been known to rip my heart out and make me full out ugly cry. I did none of that with this book. I did enjoy this second chance romance, I liked the characters, the story flowed for me, but it also fell short for me.
Julian is our hero who came from nothing and made something of himself. This is great and good for him.... Autumn is our heroine who has been in love with Julian since she was a young girl. Yes they have a history, yes it is a messy history, AND yes he did obliterate her heart. I want to go onto more but I do not want to give anything away... I want to tell you about how infuriating Autumn was from time to time. I want to praise Julian's tenacity where Autumn is concerned. UGH!!! It is so frustrating that I want to scream onto a pillow WHY!!! I loved how Julian proved to Autumn that she was his and always has been....
There are a few twist and turns that will leave you speechless, and the chemistry between these two is palpable.

I was just done. Although I’m sure Julian and Autumn have potential for a great storyline, I just can’t stand him. He’s not the epitome of an alpha male, not a true one in romance novels. Everything was about him, not her.

Then throw the secret baby trope in there out of the blue? Nope. It didn’t even feel plausible to me.

It’s been a long time since I have sobbed uncontrollably at a book but I swear I couldn’t get the tears to stop whilst reading this. My heart broke a million times just to be pieced back together again. It was the best rollercoaster.

This second chance romance had everything I love entwined in to one book - best friends sister, CEO/publicist, second chance romance, lovers-enemies-lovers and alllll the ANGST you could ever imagine. The forced proximity trope is always a fave of mine and this was done to absolute steamy perfection
