For a long time finally get back to the 1st ever Greek Myth I read when I was child and it was an amazing experience.

I was slightly disturbed by the narration of the fighting or the deaths but it was still an amazing read for me since I'm such a Greek addict and will definitely reread this again soon.

I still hate The Odyssey though, but the adventure was such a ride, probably gonna rate it a 3 stars for it's parts or perhaps a 3.5.

The Iliad is a fierce, emotional, tragic story of war, loss, and relationships.

The Odyssey is water to the Iliad’s fire. I adore this story of twists and turns.

Yes it's a classic. I know for sure I'd have never gotten through this if it wasn't for this audio version though. It's violent and graphic with a lot of killing of animals and humans.
The Gods are conniving and the mortals don't stand a chance in Hades. It was definitely entertaining but it's not for the faint of heart, there's a lot of "running through with swords" and blood spurting. I liked it and glad I persevered through the 25+ hours of listening.

Not sure if I had the patience to fully appreciate this classic. The Odyssey portion was great and definitely more interesting but the Iliad was such a PAIN to get through, I think its just the nature of ancient warfare, I’m not into it. Reading this did bring back my childhood obsession with Greek mythology though.

This addition has a short synapsid of each chapter.
