This is the only assigned uni reading I've ever enjoyed <3 Something about Chinese scar literature and the small ways in which its authors can express what it's like to feel like you can never catch up with the modernising world. Obviously there's some very dark stuff in here and I had a tough time reading some of the scenes. But the little bits of conversation between the professional writer and the blood donor is such a nice thread to follow throughout the book, with plenty of good quotes. Good stuff!
