Henry has live a life of abuse, true love and horrible loss. 90% of this book is his story in the past and how he comes to meet Seth in the end. I knew that Henry and Quinn were no longer a couple since Henry was single in the beginning of the book (present time) but how they came to be apart was not something I was anticipating or prepared for.

"You want to know what I was feeling tonight. I was feeling lost, Quinn. I was feeling lost because I wasn't by your side. I wanted to be by your side all night."
"I want you there, Henry. You have no idea how much I want you there."

Henry is dealing with many demons from his childhood and early adulthood and learning how to cope with every card he's been dealt. His life has been far from easy and it's time he meets his match and gets his happily ever after.

I really enjoyed Henry's End. When what happened happened, I was messaging Reni because I was completely shattered. I don't deal well with the unexpected but knew that Henry needed to overcome yet another obstacle for his story to be completed. Although third person, it was a quick read. I'll definitely be picking up Julie's other series based around Henry's best friend Schooner Moore.

So much tragedy and not enough character development with Seth. I thought this was a standalone but obviously I needed to read the other series to know who half the characters were.

ARC received for an honest review - thank you!

If you have read Ms Richman's Needing Moore series, than you will have already have met our main man, Henry.

If you haven't - don't worry! I have not read the whole Needing Moore series yet, and Henry's End can be read as a standalone.

We first meet Henry again at a wedding, and his thoughts are on the man he just met - Seth.

We are then taken back in time to get Henry's story, from the 1990's until the present day. We find out how he came to be the man he is today.

I loved going back to see the man Henry was, and getting taken along for the journey to the man he can and will be. Henry's life is not all rainbows and butterflies. There are some wonderful things that happen to him, but there are some truly horrible things that occur. For every laugh and smile, I shed a tear.

But even after things happen, it just goes to show that you have to live. You have to move on. You have to know things will get better.

The only thing I would have liked better, would have been if we had had more time with present-day Henry, and his foundling relationship with Seth.

What was there not to love about Henry and Seth together? I completely and utterly adored the pair of them.

I just wish we got more. Ms Richman, please give us more.

As I felt that Henry's End was really just the beginning.

And I need to know more!

Mission catch up on my Goodreads challenge during my week off work.

Today’s mission MM.

I haven’t read the series that this is a spin off from but was happy to plough on.

Henry Clark is an openly gay man and he’s lovely lovely lovely. He wants a forever love but goes through tough times. He meets the man of his dreams in Quinn Callahan - damn, he’s the man of my dreams too. Dark hair, dreamy eyes, cyclists thighs. He’s perfect.

I cried!

There are a couple of nasties in this book that I didn’t like that spoiled the good bits.

if you have read ms. richman's needing more series, not much about this book will surprise you. most of the book takes place in the past, getting us up to speed on henry's history (which is very similar to what happened with mia and schooner). additionally, most of the heartbreak in this book (and there is quite a bit for henry) was not a surprise and extremely predictable. i'm not sure if it's because this book was predictable or if i'm used to the author's writing. henry and quinn's story was beautiful and seemed to be the majority of the story.

the ending left me wondering if we're going to see another book with seth and henry because i don't feel like their story is finished. if this is the end for them, the story is incomplete at best and left me with a lot of questions about the 2 of them.

the writing was decent but at times felt a little forced. we see some of the characters we met in the needing more series and we met a couple new great characters. i'm hoping we see more of these 2...

This was my first Julie Richman novel, and when my friend recommended that I read Julie’s first M/M novel I was all in. I have heard a lot about the Needing Moore Series, and even though I have not read this series and this book was based on previous characters from the series, I was never left hanging. The book is well thought out to be a stand-a-one, and new readers will never be “lost” in the story.

Now lets talk about this book! This book was raw, highly emotional to read, certain parts are so heart wrenching , you will need a little hand holding to get through it with Henry. One scene is so detailed that I had tissues in both hands, one to wipe my face and one to wiper the tears from my Kindle.

I highly recommend this book about first loves, possibly of having face a hate crime and for a tee-total emotional breakdown that is written better than any I have come across, then this book is for you.

The first half of the book was excellent, I loved it, completely fell in love with Henry and couldn't wait to see how his life turned out. And then, well I didn't see, suddenly it was Seth...I don't know who Seth is? Why was I suddenly hearing from him and not Henry, where was my Henry? I didn't find out anything about Henry after that apart from the odd drib and drab. I didn't know enough about Seth to be invested in his character at all. So 3 stars from me all for the first half. I honestly don't think this should be read as a standalone as it's stated, perhaps had I known a bit more about Seth and Mia then I might have felt differently about this one.
