This book was a fast-paced, exciting ride! Walker does an incredible job of creating plausible future technology that's both clever and fun.

With great pacing and an unforgettable protagonist, I found myself having to force myself to slow down and enjoy the story! I'm looking forward to the next installment of Rising Waters.

I really love the premise of this short work. A world in which clean air is mined, packaged, and sold (even designed) is sheer genius. I also connected immediately with Nora. We get enough of her background to know her motivation without being inundated with her life story—perfect for short fiction.

Even though the story starts with a high-tension action sequence, it's the cloud mining facility that really captured my imagination. I would have loved for the story to stay in that space a little longer and further develop it (some of the physical descriptions are a little shallow to really capture what this little air factory is really like).
