It was anything but good.
Listen--I had high hopes for a cult book. I mean, what's not to like? I wanted thrilling, haunting, and scarily paranormal as fuck. I did not get that! If you're looking for that, don't bother picking up this book. Respectfully, I think I was incorrect in thinking that this book was that--and believing that it was is probably what caused me to hate it. It's just a plain old rape cult book. Nothing special. The only thing that is making me give this book two stars is the redeemable relationship between Lacy and her mother.
So happy I am finished with it.

Another book I don't think I would have chose on my own since it was about a cult. But it was interesting! Some parts were boring or unnecessary but others might have liked those parts.
This felt like it took me forever to finish. Really slow but a good story.

Um loved this book! This is one I’ll never forget. Finally a book that is so different from the others! Easy to understand what is going on, and just so interesting. Great book to start the year. Found this one at the library because of the sparkly cover, glad I did(:
